Tangem Wallets

Tangem is one of the self-custody options I point people toward when they want something simple, card-based, and easy to understand.

Why Tangem?

I still like Trezor too. They solve slightly different problems. Tangem is the one I usually point people toward when they want something that feels more like using a card and less like managing a traditional hardware wallet.

For a fuller breakdown of when I prefer Tangem, when I prefer Trezor, and how I think about the tradeoffs between the two, see my wallet page.

And for the bigger picture on why I think self-custody matters, especially for home miners, read this:

Promos & Specials

Tangem frequently runs value-add specials. If they have something going on that I think is actually worth mentioning, you’ll usually see me write about it in the blog section instead of blasting links everywhere.

Quick Self-Custody Note

If you mine Bitcoin, buy Bitcoin, or plan to hold Bitcoin for any length of time, it is worth understanding the difference between custodial and non-custodial wallets.

Hardware wallets are not magic. You still need to protect your backups, understand what you’re doing, and never share private keys or seed phrases.
