Quick Mining Rundown: Zyber Blanc, Atlas, Parasite, CKPool, and More
Been a couple weeks since I wrote anything, so here goes.
Quick little rundown of what’s going on in mining and a few other things I care about right now.
🔐 Tangem $5,000 BTC Giveaway

⛏️ Zyber Blanc + WatchDog
TinyChipHub is getting ready to release a new single-chip BM1373 miner called the Zyber Blanc along with a companion monitoring device called WatchDog.
I’m pretty pumped about this one.
We still don’t have all the details yet, but knowing those guys, I highly doubt the Blanc is the end of the line. I’d be shocked if we don’t eventually see the Zyber lineup expand into 4, 6, 8, or even 12-chip devices sooner rather than later.

👀 BM1373 Rumors
I’m also hearing rumors about some new BM1373 Bitaxe-style devices dropping soon, but until I can confirm any of it, I don’t really have much to say yet.
🌎 Atlas Pool
About a month ago I started pointing some hash at Atlas Pool and I’ve been really impressed with the infrastructure and anycast setup so far.
I’d really love to see them land their first block. Matt has been doing a lot for the home mining space lately, and it would be cool to see that happen sooner rather than later.
🎉 Parasite Block Party
Parasite is throwing another Block Party for Memorial Day weekend.
I’m not really an Ordinals guy, but you’ve gotta respect what those guys have built: the pool, the community around it, and honestly their marketing ability too.
When Parasite throws a party, it feels like the entire home mining community shows up. I know I will.

⚡ CKPool Changes
CK also pushed some changes to his pool about a week ago.
Coincidentally, right around the same time, I noticed a pretty significant drop in prevhash notify timing from my location. Whether that’s coincidence, routing changes, or directly related to the CKPool updates, I honestly don’t know, but either way I’ll take it.
👥 Facebook Group Stuff
We’ve also been having some really good discussion in the Facebook group lately.
One of our mods, Lyle, is closing in on 60TH/s. At this point we might need to stage an intervention and get him into a 12-step program.
I met Lyle in that group about 6 months ago, and now we’re constantly roasting each other via text message. I’ve met a lot of good people I now consider friends through mining.

Outside of mining, it’s been a busy few weeks.
It’s also been awhile since we’ve done a giveaway, so if I can find the time I’m going to start organizing another one soon. Probably a miner, but we’ll see.
🥊 UFC + Netflix MVP Card
I watched both UFC and the Netflix MVP card Saturday night.
Both were underwhelming, but the Netflix one was just downright terrible.
I think the highlight of the night was Dana White announcing the McGregor vs. Holloway fight during Francis Ngannou’s MVP walkout. Taking pettiness to a whole new level combined with guerrilla marketing.
Pure comedy.
🏀 Detroit vs. Cleveland
Game 7 of the Detroit/Cleveland series was a total disaster too.
I was hoping for a close game to help train some predictive analytics stuff I’ve been working on, but it turned into a blowout almost immediately. Wasn’t even enjoyable to watch.
I’ve got higher hopes for Game 1 of OKC vs. the Spurs tomorrow.
🏃 Memorial Day 5K
Oh, and somehow I got roped into running a 5K on Memorial Day weekend, so I’m trying to squeeze a few runs in before then.
I talk a lot of shit, so now I actually have to back it up.
